Zip-On Panels Brands/Eco Systems Guide

This is a comprehensive zip-on panels guage/size reference guide for MOST of the popular industry standard brands/eco systems.

Most zip panels on the market are crafted with YKK Vislon or molded tooth zippers.

- The # are the gauge, #8 mean size 8, #10 means size 10, etc.
- Blue line is the length of the zipper (not including the polyester tape that the teeth is molded on)
- Green line indicate the position of the zipper pin (The pin is where you insert or removing the sliders, basically the starting point of the zipper)
- Red squares are where the mounting tabs are usually located on the panels.
- The gauge # are usually written on the back of the sliders.
- Most zip-on panels are pretty brand specific unless the manufacturer explicit stated that their panels follow a specific specs (AFAIK ATS Tactical and Grey Ghost Gear follow Crye Precision specs)

The scarcity of information regarding zip panels are pretty bad so hopefully this helps. I don't keep the zipper specs a secret since anyone can purchase their gear and get the measurements anyway, When you are purchasing raw zippers from my webstore the gauge and length are always clearly listed.

Keep in mind that this does not apply to knock offs, in my experience the zippers they use are often not YKK or have shorter/longer zippers then the original. Also manufactures are known to increase/decrease the length of their zippers without notice or even straight up changing to a different specs. For example Crye went from 8.3" zippers to 8.5" last year, and then to 8.75" to 9'. There are ongoing rumors that Eagle are planning to ditch their AERO standard and going with #10 in order to make it comply with Crye Precision's standard starting in this Summer.
